This time it's for the kids! This was a show that our precious Ami picked out to really showcase our kiddos. This drama is one that will showcase our kids in the best way!

And A Child Shall Lead at Stage Notes Academy of Performing Arts
is for ages 6-17.
This is the heroic and true story of children coming of age in Terezin, the "Jewish city" established by the Nazis near Prague as a way station before the death camps. In the face of unspeakable horror, these children use their determination and creativity to build lives filled with hope and beauty—playing, studying, making art, and writing an underground newspaper—all at the peril of being executed. Their actual poems and stories are woven into a fast-paced drama, evoking the universality of children caught in the insanity of war. There are parts for about 8-30 children (if you can play the violin/and or any other small instrument)at the end. We look forward to seeing you at the auditions.

Please fill out the audition form and view the music and sides (dialogue from the script) from the audition form. Auditions are on Feb 22 1PM-4PM and Feb 24th 5:30PM-7:30PM.
Auditions will be at the Stage Notes Playhouse located at 224 N Prairieville, Athens, TX 75751.

Rehearsals begin March 4th and will be Tuesday and Thursday 5:30-7:00.Performances are May 9th, 10th, 16, 17, and 18th.
Friday and Saturday nights at 7pm, and Sundays at 3pm!

Stage Notes Academy
What is a 12-hour Junior musical, you might ask??!?! Well, it is a Junior Musical (an hour to an hour and a half show) that we begin rehearsing at 7am that morning and perform at 7 pm that evening.
Crazy, right? Well, there's more! The teens won't know what the show or their part is until 7 a.m.,m either. WHOAAAAAA! That's also not all. The audience won't see the show until the opening chorus is played. WHAT???!?!?! That's right. It is a surprise to all.

THIS IS A ONE DAY EVENT! The rehearsal will begin at 7 am sharp on June 14th, and the show will be performed at 7 pm that evening! We will follow a rigorous schedule that day, including choreography, singing, acting, and blocking.
Teenagers involved in this production must be independent self-starters who can work on their parts during downtime.
Directed by Troy Martin. Production Organizer Karen Holmes. With a team of fantastic and amazingly talented people, this will be an amazing show.

Everyone must sign up for a time slot in Sign Up Genius and prepare 16 bars of a musical theater song. Have a backup of 16 bars if we ask you to sing more. You will cold read from the sides provided at the audition. The sides will be from several random junior productions, not just the production we are planning. You will be shown two eight-count dances of varying difficulty. Just do your best!
