*Callbacks August 31st 3pm-7pm *Keep the date open in case you get a call back.
(Callbacks are not always needed.)

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Fill out the audition form. This production is for 16 yrs and up.
2. Sign up for an audition time slot. (If unable to attend in person, we do accept video entries.)
3. Prepare 2 songs: one minute of a song of your choice, and one of the audition cuts provided.
4. Be prepared to read sides (dialogue) for any of the parts provided.

Welcome to Stage Notes Academy Of Performing Arts auditions for A Gentleman’s Guide To Love and Murder! We are so happy you are interested in being part of this fun show!
We understand auditions can be a bit overwhelming, so we want to assure you, we are rooting for you! We are looking just as much for good attitudes and hard workers as we are for raw talent. As a teaching theater, we hope to challenge each cast and crew member to learn new skills and improve techniques.
Be assured we want to help you be the best you can be onstage and off! We know that placing actors and crew in a position for which they are not ready does not set them up for success, so we do our best to fit each person to a task that stretches them, yet is an achievable goal.
We know it can be disappointing to not get a part, but we also know that being given a part for which you are not ready is not good for you either. Look at each experience as a chance to grow and learn something new!
This show is musically very challenging. The vocals are difficult and not for beginners. We are looking to place leads who have had vocal training or are naturally inclined to a more operatic style of singing. The ensemble needs to be very good at harmonies and flexible to play multiple roles, as this show is written for a few people to play many characters.
If you are not right for a part in this show, it’s ok. You may be perfect for a part in the next show! Keep working, keep auditioning, keep growing!
If the necessary vocal requirements for this show are beyond your current abilities, we recommend taking a tech or backstage position for this show and enlist the help of a vocal coach to work on improving your vocal abilities for future shows.
We believe everyone has room for growth!
We hope everyone who is not offered a role in the cast will consider being part of the production team. Being part of the stage crew, and tech crew is rewarding and extremely helpful. It takes everyone in the cast and crew to pull off a large production such as this.
